Theft from motor vehicle

March Update

Theft from motor vehicles continues to be a focus on these three wards. I can update that over the last month we have made two arrests in relation to theft from, one individual was placed before the courts and has pleaded guilty. The other remains on Police bail while we continue to investigate.

A further Individual has been arrested, charged, and remanded to prison in connection to a series of theft of Ford Transit vans. He has also had his previous licence revoked and will now serve the remainder of a current prison sentence.

As you will see from the below, we still have further work to do and more offenders to identify and bring to justice.

Anti Social Behaviour Reports

March Update

ASB continues to be the focus for Police activity on the Basford ward. In particular we see ASB and criminal damage to the tram network as an issue.

We are working alongside NET regularly and have increased our presence on the network.

In addition, NET have got a very good CCTV system and utilising this we have recently identified and arrested a number of young persons seen damaging ticketing machines.

On Other ASB matters we have seen a couple of addresses on the ward generate numerous incidents in relation to noise that neighbours are creating. We work with housing providers and Nottingham community protection Officers to mediate and provide intervention in these matters.
