Cycle theft

Alert message sent 01/03/2018 10:46:00

Information sent on behalf of Notts Police

We’re urging people to think about their cycle security following a rise in the number of reported thefts over recent months.

Bicycles are often targeted by thieves because they are left poorly secured or not secured at all. It takes just a few seconds for the opportunist thief to steal a bike that is left unsecured.

Please ensure that if you own a bicycle that it is locked away and secured with the appropriate security devices. You can also have your bicycles security marked by contacting your local beat officers.

For more advice on securing your bike you can visit our website at
https://www.nottinghamshire.police.uk/document/advice-bike
or alternatively contact a member of your local policing beat team who will be happy to help.
