Information sent on behalf of Notts Police

Dear residents
An incident in Nuthall has been reported to the Police reference what is believed to be a scam.
A white male has attended several properties stating to be from Scottish Power and asking occupants to sign up to this company.
He was wearing an I.D. badge that he showed to the occupants; although none could say that it had a logo for Scottish Power
He then asks for bank details telling the occupant he must take £50 from the account as a sign up fee.
Scottish Power has been contacted and has stated that they did not have any employees in that area.
If you have elderly relatives or neighbours please make them aware of this scam and to call the Police on 101 if they are unsure if the caller is genuine.
