Crime Report Hucknall and the Rural Villages for week to Thursday 18 July 2019

Crimes reported over the past seven days.

Burglary Dwelling
Between 8.00am and 7.45pm on Thursday 11 July in Astral Grove, Hucknall, the porch area of a house was entered and items of clothing removed and scattered outside.

Around 2.30pm on Thursday 11 July in Polperro Way, Hucknall, a white male, slim build, in a faded black t-shirt and white/cream baseball cap was disturbed trying to break into a house and made off over the fence.

Around 3.05pm on Thursday 11 July in Chillon Way, Hucknall, the owner disturbed an offender in the house when she returned; he pushed past her and made off. The offender described as a white male, six foot tall, skinny build with short black hair; wearing black jeans and black t-shirt.  We do not know if anything was stolen.

Burglary Other
Between 11.00pm on Wednesday 10 and 5.20am on Thursday July 11 in Shortwood Avenue, Hucknall, a shed was broken into and a blue pushbike was stolen.

Between 7.30pm on Thursday 11 and 2.30pm on Friday 12 July in the Allotment Gardens, Garden Road, Hucknall, three sheds were broken into.  We do not know if anything was stolen.

Between Saturday 6 July and 11.00am on Friday 12 July in Astral Grove, Hucknall, a garage was entered by forcing the lock.  We do not know if anything was stolen.

Between 10.00am and 11.00am on Tuesday16 July in Moor Road, Bestwood Village, a shed was broken into and a black and white Stumpjumper push bike with blue and white handlebars was stolen.  The bike was chained to a set of stepladders which were also taken.

Theft of motor vehicle
Between 8.00pm on Thursday 11 July and 10.00am on Friday 12 July in Dabek Rise, Annesley Woodhouse, a red Peugeot 307 was stolen from the roadside. The car has been recovered.

At 11.50am on Saturday 13 July in Windmill Grove, Hucknall, a prospective buyer took a car for a test drive and did not return.  The car was later recovered by Derbyshire Police.

Please be careful when selling a car privately and always accompany anyone taking a test drive.

Theft from motor vehicle
Between 1.30pm and 4.00pm on Thursday 11 July possibly in Nixon Rise, Hucknall, the rear number plate was stolen from a dark blue Ford Fiesta.  The theft could have happened at the Hucknall Leisure Centre car park, Linby Lane or the Tesco Extra car park, Ashgate Road.

Between 10.00am and 6.00pm on Thursday 11 July in the Tesco Extra car park, Ashgate Road, Hucknall, the front number plate was stolen from a black Fiat Punto.

At 40 minutes past midnight on Thursday 11 July in Lime tree Road, Hucknall, a silver Peugeot car was broken into by three males wearing dark clothing.  A wallet containing a driving licence was stolen.

Around 8.00pm on Saturday 13 July in Titchfield Park, Hucknall, a mountain bike was forcibly taken from a young male by a group of four other males.

Overnight Wednesday10 /Thursday 11 July at a farm in Washdyke Lane, Hucknall, a Lumar Ultima Tourer caravan was stolen.

Between 10.30am and 3.10pm on Saturday 13 July in Church Lane, Selston, a white Whirlpool Chest Freezer was stolen from a front garden.

At 20minutes past midnight on Wednesday 17 July in Polperro Way, Hucknall, a charcoal and grey Carrera Venom pushbike was stolen from a back garden.
