Alert message sent 06/03/2021 00:28:00

Information sent on behalf of Notts Police

A spate of catalytic converter thefts across Sherwood/Nottingham has prompted a police appeal.
Motorists are being told to make sure they mark the devices if they can on their vehicles to make it easier to identify them and deter thefts.
It comes after five thefts across the city. These include:
Catalytic converters were taken from over five cars parked on the road and driveway. Toyota Auris, Honda's and Nissan's have been targeted
We have obtained CCTV from some of the offences reported to us and are continuing our enquiries to identify those responsible for the thefts. We are keeping an open mind over whether it is the same people responsible and investigations remain on-going.
These thefts leave the vehicle’s owner with a hefty bill and other potential damage to rectify.
