When you are registered with Nottinghamshire Alert you have full access to log in to the website and access your account settings at any time.
Logging in allows you to control all of your personal details and adjust the types of messages you want to receive, where you want to receive them and when you would like to get them. All of this is done through our secure servers.
Registration is free, simple and easy - just use the simple sign up feature on the home page. Once you have verified your account by responding to the verification e-mail, you have instant access to the Nottinghamshire Alert website.
Nottinghamshire Alert is part of the Neighbourhood Alert network of sites and Information Providers. When you join this system your information is shared with a small number of licenced organisations. You can control exactly who can see your information and communicate with you by logging into your account.
It is a web-based secure system that allows authorised administrators, including Neighbourhood Policing Teams and Crime Reduction Managers, to send messages to registered members.
The purpose of the system is to keep you, the people who live and work in Nottinghamshire and particularly Neighbourhood Watch members, informed about crime in your area and enable you to have a say and influence local policing.
It also enables members of Neighbourhood Watch to share information quickly and effectively and allows scheme coordinators to identify areas across the county where people may be interested in starting new Neighbourhood Watch schemes, hopefully leading to an increase in the number of schemes in the area.
The system is designed to ensure registered users can choose what information they receive, how often, who from and in a format they want.
Organisations that can use the system to send Alerts to registered users include Nottinghamshire Police, Neighbourhood Watch, Action Fraud, Crimestoppers, Nottinghamshire County Council and many more.
These organisations cannot automatically see your details or send information. You must give specific permission in order for them to be able to see your details and send you Alerts. You can also withdraw this permission instantly and prioritise the messages you receive.
Our aim is to enable reductions in crime and disorder by facilitating effective communication between people who live and work in Nottinghamshire, Nottinghamshire Police, Neighbourhood Watch and other partner agencies.
